Not only Zupco, but the whole transport sector needs a long overdue overhaul.

Yes, we do have a basket of currencies Zimbabwe is using, with the US dollar as the base currency. It should go without saying that if a company decides to sell its products in the US base currency, it should also pay its workers in that same currency.

*** Sunday Mail Zimbabwe Fungayi Magwenzi on ‘Get real, Sadc tells Chamisa’ Sadc helped to bring independence to most Sadc members as Frontline States, Zimbabwe included. New Zim Citizen on ‘We choose optimism’

There are too many negative people in the opposition and the private media that supports them. Setting up the commission on the post-election violence was the right thing to do. It shows that the President is all about transparency. Now we expect to see prosecutions after the commission presents its report. If you engage in crime, be prepared to do the time. No one should cry foul when the chickens come home to roost.

We have lost lives on the roads due to accidents. I therefore appeal to concerned parties to play their role towards avoidance of these accidents.

The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe should up their awareness. The ZRP and VID should arrest those found on the wrong side of law, including impounding vehicles that are not roadworthy. Life is precious, let’s all be involved. —
