Create greatness with thoughts, words

Shakespeare in his play, “Twelfth Night,” blessed us with this immortal line: “Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.”

- Milton Kamwendo Hunt for Greatness

OPERATE in faith and not fear. Focus on what you want and not what you do not want. Discipline your thoughts and words and you will intentionally channel your life to paths of greatness. To create greatness master your thoughts and words. The rest are simply tools and resources. Words are the seed of all creation.

You are where you are today because of words. You will move to the next station using words. Until words change, you remain grounded. Change your words and you change your life. To change the harvest, change the germplasm — change the seed.

Where you are today does not matter as much as where you are going. Stop camping on the toxic past and hope to launch greatness. Your past is not a prison unless you choose so in your mind. You can create your own greatness.

Look at anyone doing great things, their vocabulary is different from others drawing rings, raising dust, suffocating in negativity and scratching each other but going nowhere. If I can listen to you speaking for just five minutes I can tell where you are going and what you are becoming. It is impossible to create manure with your mouth and build a great life. It is against the law of life.

Choose to make where you are today a starting point for launching a new you and reaching for greatness. Greatness is everywhere. You do not have to search far because it is locked up in you. Whatever you need is likely already waiting for you. When you get used to shortage you are surprised when you see abundance. Abundance is your birthright. Believe it and you will live it. Keep challenging your limits and being better, because everyday in every way you are becoming better and better.

Do not let small beginnings disappoint you because you have a special appointment with destiny. Do not let small things drag you into the mud and tempt you to stop dreaming big. The best time to think big is when others are negative. The best time to move fast forward is when others are asleep.

The best time for you is now. There are opportunities in this moment that are begging for your attention. Do not let the heavy clouds of negativity tempt you to believe that the end has now come and this is Armageddon. It is time for you to taxi and take off. Life is either a daring adventure or what you are experiencing right now. If you do not deliberately choose what life will be to you, you will have set up yourself for accidents. Create your own greatness and fashion your life through your thoughts and words.

Double Creation

All things are created twice. The mental creation comes first then the physical manifestation. With your mind you can visualise your life as you desire it. Believe in greatness and goodness.

Think only noble thoughts if you will have a noble life. It does not take much effort to think thoughts of fear, lack, poverty, depravity, hate and retribution. Your thoughts are powerful creative tools and not tools of abuse. Use them with good intention and visionary focus.

Thinking small makes you into a ball of complaints that is seeking for attention. There are great things happening in the universe powered by big thoughts and matching words. Discipline your mind to create and dwell on that which you want and not what you do not want.

With your mind you can create anything that you desire. Fill your mind with possibilities, big dreams and positive images. Whatever you dwell on your become. You cannot think like an ant and hope to play a game with elephants. It is impossible to feel great while thinking toxic selfish thoughts. It is impossible to think wrongly and create positively. It is against the law of life. Whatever you sow you reap.

Master Law

Climb as high as you want on any building. Talk as loud as you wish and convince all your friends that you can fly far and high. If you take the foolish decision of jumping off a high building you are likely not going to fly upwards. The law of gravity will kick in and pull you to the ground.

However, with the understanding of the laws of gravity and physics you can play as you please and intend. If you wear your parachute suit, you can glide down the same tall building with style and ease. If you choose you can helicopter away from the building to your next destination. If you do not know what you are doing, blindly copying what others are doing could be dangerous.

The same can be said about the laws of life. If you fight them, you will not win. You may act big but life has its own way reducing you to ideal proportions. Your best refuge is to understand the laws of life and learn to work with them. Your mind operates by some defined laws. Whatever you think you reproduce in kind. Change what you are thinking and how you are thinking and your life will change.

You can trace where you are today directly to the thought you dwelt on in the past. Any problem that you see can be traced back to a way of thinking, speaking and behaving. Blaming is a toxic and barren path. Harbouring hurt and bitterness will only canker your soul and delay your progress. Banking sweet revenge to dispense in due course is simply carrying a poisoned and sick spirit.

You cannot have a sick heart and a healthy body. It is against the law. There is no way you can carry for a long time resentment, anger, bitterness, rancour or animosity and be healthy. How? It is simply against the law.

Change how you think and what you think and your life will change. The Bible in Philippians 4:8 enjoins us to think this way: “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—THINK on these things.”

You cannot outthink your life. You cannot stop negative thoughts from flying over your head. What is certain is that you can stop them from building a nest over your head. Do not dwell on negative and toxic thoughts. Banish them because you do not have the luxury of a breakfast of negative thoughts.

They will do more harm to you than anyone else can. Do not allow your mind to dwell on thinking like a victim, building toxicity and building a reputation and a career as a complainer. Change your thinking and what you are using your mind to create and your will transform your life.

Speak Differently

Your mouth is a tree. Everything always creates its own kind. It is against the law for negative words to create positive things. The seeds you sow determine the plants that grow. Your words create and are charged with energy. Polarising, bitter words are a cancer that eats up their host and poisons other listeners. Angry words are like a fire that burns everything down. Stop causing ventfires!

All change starts with the words that you choose to use. Nothing changes much until words change. Check carefully the words you use and the energy that they are charged with. Whatever energy content that the words are carrying is what you are dumping into the environment of your mind and your social connections. Resign from fellowships of negativity. There are people that are so careful about picking up litter and yet they are careless with the words they litter everywhere. Use words with the care of a master builder and responsible leader.

Change your life by changing your words. Use words that build and you will attract others to build with you. Use words that tear and torment, and you will breed polarity, waste and tear much. Use words of appreciation, and you will see strengths everywhere. Use words of encouragement and you will see what could work. Use words of peace and you will see how much we agree and what third-way alternatives there are. Use words that affirm and you will see how what was weak becomes strong. Use words that express vision, you will see how much there is to build and the opportunities that are there. Use words of cooperation, you will see how much we need each other. You can trace whatever war and fight to — words and thoughts.

Your words are a tree. Deliberately choose the fruit of the tree and let the leaves of the tree bring healing everywhere you go. Committed to your greatness.
