I make reference to your story on one of First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa’s empowerment projects targeting youths.
It gave me joy to learn that the First Lady has joined hands with a local driving school to help young people get drivers’ licences.
This initiative will ensure that youths stay away from dangerous drugs while empowering them to become economically independent.
We are losing many promising young people to the drugs epidemic.
Giving these youths an opportunity to become economically productive will ensure that they stay away from dangerous narcotics.
The programme should go further and incorporate zupco.
After the youths successfully attain their licenses, they should be considered for employment at zupco.
This will ensure that after they get the licences they do not go back to drugs.
