THE rehabilitation of schools damaged by heavy rains and winds has commenced after the Government released money under the Disaster Funds for the refurbishment programme.
Most parts of the country have been experiencing incessant rains and strong winds since the start of the rainy season, a situation that was worsened by Tropical Depression Ana, which hit the country for the better part of last week.

A combined $8,2 billion has been set aside for the ongoing mobile voter registration blitz and the March by-elections, Zimbabwe Electoral Commission chief elections officer, Mr Utoile Silaigwana, has said.
Addressing a press conference in Harare yesterday, Mr Silaigwana said ZEC presented a $4,5 billion budget for the mobile voter registration exercise, which Treasury has already started funding, while an additional $3,7 billion has been budgeted for the by-elections.

ZIMBABWE is seized with the implementation of various projects that will not only have a great impact on the country but will complement the continental integration agenda as envisaged by the African Union and its agencies, President Mnangagwa has said.
He said this yesterday while addressing Heads of State and Government during the 39th Session of the African Union, African Development Agency — New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA NEPAD) held virtually.

PERFORMANCE contracts signed last year by permanent secretaries, are being extended to Cabinet Ministers, heads of local authorities and leaders of State-owned enterprises and universities.
The development is expected to promote a culture of accountability and improve service delivery.
