The NicozDiamond board, management and staff are deeply saddened at the passing on of Dhanshuk Nagar, popularly known as Danny within the business circles and insurance industry at large. His wisdom, sense of humor, genuine warmth and immense contributions will be sorely missed.

At the time of his death, Danny was an executive consultant for NicozDiamond Insurance, a position he held after retiring from mainstream insurance in 2011.

Danny was instrumental in contributing to the growth of the business through providing expertise advice and portfolio management services to potential and existing clients.

Danny had an immediate positive impact when he joined NicozDiamond in 2003 on his appointment as general manager marketing and business development. He was a popular and highly engaged executive, who was always ready to provide direction and perspective on any issue. He made particularly valuable contributions to the corporate strategies that placed NicozDiamond at the top of the insurance industry.

In 2007 Danny was seconded by NicozDiamond to First Insurance in Uganda as general manager, where he made a huge impact on the business through his vast knowledge and experience.

Before he joined NicozDiamond, Danny had worked for a number of local and international organisations after his first job as a trainee underwriter in 1965.

Danny's wide experience allowed him to develop a strong presence in the insurance industry. His association with various insurance institutions, sporting bodies, charity organisations and social work enabled him to interact with people from all walks of life.

Until the time of his death he had established good relationships with members of the business community, which had earned him great respect and prominence.

In his own quiet and calm manner, he showed us all how to make a mark on this earth. A life lived to the fullest stays in fond memories. May his dear soul rest in eternal peace.
