Man dodges bath for 65 years

-

AMOU Haji, an 83-year-old Iranian is labelled as the world’s dirtiest man as he has not bathed in 65 years.

Haji is terrified of water, thus the aversion to bathing. He believes he will fall sick if he bathes and this has stopped him from taking a shower in over six decades.

Life in the Iranian desert, with rotting porcupine meat as his favourite meal, is the one that he is accustomed to.

He just might give Bear Grylls, the “Man Vs Wild” presenter, a run for his money.

To stay healthy he drinks five litres of water from a rusty oil can every day. He also loves to smoke but his style of smoking involves inhaling dried cow dung instead of tobacco.

Locals believe that a broken heart was the reason that Amou Haji chose this lifestyle. However, he still has not given up on finding love.

Haji has no home, he wanders near the isolated village of Dejgah in the Southern Iranian province of Fars and lives in holes made in the desert outside the village.

Villagers built a hut for him but he chose not to live there.

He has become almost the same colour as the earth around him and he totally blends in with his environment. Locals say they often mistake him for a rock when he stays still.

Haji has no care for the comforts of the world and is content living a nomadic life.

Corpse ‘raped’ for six days

Police in Nigeria have arrested a young man identified as Ifeanyi Njoku for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Precious Okeke (24), in an estate at Badore, in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

The live-in lovers stayed on Oke Street and it was alleged that Njoku killed his girlfriend for ritual purposes.

It was also alleged that a native doctor who was assisting the suspect, instructed him to be intimate with Okeke’s corpse.

The suspect carried out the bizarre act for six days, but was busted after the stench emanating from his apartment prompted his neighbours to inform the management of the estate.

“The boy killed his girlfriend about six days ago and he confessed that he wanted to use the girl for money rituals. He said he was told that he should be intimate with his girlfriend’s corpse for seven days, but he was caught on the sixth day.

“The smell of the corpse had been disturbing neighbours in the compound and other residents. So, they called the estate chairman to help in confirming what was going on in the apartment through searching and they found the girl’s body.

“The boy was arrested and taken to the Lamgbasa Police Station and during interrogation, he confessed that he killed his girlfriend six days ago.

“We learnt that the boy offered N6m (US$14 440) to kill the case; we also learnt that he brought the girlfriend from the village and they just moved into the estate,” an eyewitness told the local media.

The state police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident, adding that the deceased and the suspect were lovers.

Hundeyin said: “Two suspects, Ifeanyi Njoku and Mbam Atunmufor

(36), have been arrested. They have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for further investigation. Njoku was the one

events, a burglar in Thailand got too comfortable at a house he had broken into and fell asleep.

Unfortunately, the house belonged to a police officer and he was woken up by officers who turned up to arrest him.

According to Thaiger, the thief had broken into the house of police sword officer Jiam Prasert of Wichian Buri District police station in Phetchabun Province around 2am. The perpetrator broke in with a toolkit, while the officer was asleep.

ThaiCh8 reported that the 22-year-old man, Athit Kin Khunthud, was tired after stalking the area in an attempt to steal something. When he finally entered the home, fatigue took over and he switched on the air-conditioner in the homeowner’s daughter’s room and decided to take a quick nap. Only he slept for long.

In the morning, the officer noticed that the AC was running in the other room and was surprised as his daughter was not even home. Looking inside, he was shocked to find a stranger sleeping comfortably under the blanket.

The officer quickly called for backup to wake up the snoozing burglar.

The thief woke up quite confused and stunned seeing the room filled with policemen. He was handcuffed and taken into custody for burglary and trespassing.

Although it seems like a stupid mistake, turns out he is not the first one.

Earlier in September 2020, a similar incident happened in India.

A burglar fell asleep in a house in Andhra Pradesh after robbing it. There too, the AC was involved, and he was caught red-handed after the owner heard him snoring!

In South Africa, thieves were caught sleeping after stealing at a house in Hamanskraal, Pretoria.

It is not known how the incident happened, but the old woman who owns the place found them sleeping outside her house with the stolen goods.

Pictures provided show two men sleeping at the door with a plasma TV, microwave, a pair of shoes, sound system and some sharp objects that might have helped them to break into the house. — Wires
