ZAOGA FIF 62nd Anniversary
Congratulations Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa-Forward in Faith Ministries International (ZAOGA-FIF), for attaining sixty-two good years of service in the body of Christ, under the leadership of the founder, the Servant and Apostle of God, the Archbishop Professor E.H. Guti. This year, 2022, we also mark Professor Guti's seventy-four years of preaching the
Gospel non-stop. Indeed, this is yet another time to remember the work that God has done through His servant in spreading this type of Gospel which has
not only transformed our spiritual lives but also empowered us economically and socially.
We also realise the grace of God as the Church has grown from its humble beginnings under a gum tree in Bindura on 12 May 1960, after young Ezekiel Guti had received this unique pastoral calling at a young age in Ngaone, Chipinge.
On the initial encounter, Ezekiel says he heard thick music in the air and an angel appeared to him saying, "Fear Not, Sin Not," a principle that has kept the Church intact to date. It is indeed amazing to see how this encounter has brought together the entire FIF world, as one huge movement destined for heaven.
Through the undiluted gospel that Professor E. H. Guti has been preaching since 1948, the Church has grown intensively both in Zimbabwe and around the whole world. With each year passing, this Church is growing stronger and more dedicated on the number one goal, " winning souls for the Lord."
Currently the Church is in 158 nations and states and it is continuing to grow mainly because it is the Church of God as Professor E.H. Guti always reminds us.
He says, "I do not take the Church to be mine. It is God's Church and I am only His servant". Indeed, the Church has witnessed God's faithfulness as the Lord continues to bless him from glory to glory. God's hand at the inception of the
Church and His goodness in its evangelism has made the Church to be a beacon of hope to millions of people around the world. All we can say is, Ebenezer, thus far the Lord has brought us. We thank God for His fruitfulness for
He has promised that He will bring to fruition all the work that He has started.
Congratulations Baba Guti for the seventy-four years of non-stop preaching
of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is not an easy matter to persistently and faithfully worship God, let alone for so many years. Indeed, though we may have many instructors, yet Ezekiel Guti remains but our one Father.
May the dear Lord's immeasurable love rain upon you for spreading the true
Gospel so diligently.
