The delighted smile of the student shows a man who is very happy and proud of what he has done.He is proud of the extent of his love for his girlfriend, the love that can make him part with a vital body organ to fulfil his girlfriend’s wish.

Prophet’s home

set on fire

Three men set a 73-year-old prophet’s homestead on fire after he allegedly refused to heal their ailing mother.

The three men, believed to be in their thirties, arrived at Prophet Paulos Ngwenya’s home in the Madlambuzi area, Plumtree, Matabeleland South province, and sought his help.

An insider said: “They told Ngwenya that their mother had been ill for some time and that they were directed to him by some people he had assisted. Ngwenya, however, refused to help them as he was not feeling well on that day.”

The three did not take that kindly. They insisted the prophet should travel with them to heal their mother, but he flatly refused.

As a result, emotions boiled over, with the visitors accusing him of being heartless and insensitive.

“They insulted him as they manhandled him while accusing him of being selective in his assistance. They kicked him and insulted him,” said the relative.

Ngwenya’s wife screamed for help, to no avail. The law-breakers thought the best way to inflict more pain on the prophet was by setting his homestead alight.

Property that included a bed, blankets and kitchen utensils was destroyed, a witness added.

The arsonists then fled. Ngwenya reported the matter to the police.

Matabeleland South police spokesperson, Inspector Loveness Mangena, confirmed the incident.

“We appeal for information that may lead to the arrest of the three suspects, who are on the run after they burnt a prophet’s home.

“The estimated value of the property lost is R170 000. “Anyone who knows their whereabouts may contact any nearest police station, call or send a tip-off to 0772226819,” she said.

Efforts to get a comment from the prophet did not yield results, as his mobile number was not reachable. — B-Metro

Lustful hubby defiles

stepdaughter

An 11-year-old girl has been defiled by her stepfather in Lusaka’s Makeni area.

The girl narrated how her stepfather defiled her on several occasions, adding that every time she reported the matter to her mother, she would be ignored.

When interrogated by police, Modley Chabinga said he decided to sleep with his stepdaughter because her wife (the mother of the victim) was failing to satisfy him in bed as she has abnormally painful period pains.

Asked why he did not go for other elderly women in Lusaka, Chabinga said his stepdaughter was more attractive than any woman he knows.

The girl’s biological father died in an accident 10 years ago.

Her teachers described her as an extraordinarily talented and intelligent student, who has always been number one in class since she started Grade One in 2016. — Wires
