Zimbabwe’s abundant natural resources, youthful population and strategic location as a logistical route make it an ideal and profitable investment destination, President Mnangagwa said on Monday.
In a speech read on his behalf by Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga during the official opening of the Third Zimbabwe-Belarus Business Forum held in Harare, President Mnangagwa said the forum represented a significant moment in the two countries’ ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties and foster mutually beneficial partnerships, in line with Zimbabwe’s ongoing engagement and re-engagement agenda.
Wednesday President Mnangagwa has welcomed the ruling handed by the International Court of Justice directing Israel to do all it can to prevent the deaths of Palestinian civilians, punish incitement to genocide and provide the much-needed humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.
The ruling by the ICJ followed an appeal by South Africa, imploring the Haguebased international court to interdict Israel from committing crimes of genocide against defenceless Palestinians.

President Mnangagwa has challenged young people, both in Zimbabwe and abroad, to shoulder the burden of developing the country by emulating their forebears who liberated it.
The President said this on Wednesday while addressing thousands of young people at Mushagashe Vocational Training Centre in Masvingo to mark the National Youth Day.

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Preparatory Mission, which is in the country to assess preparations for the 44th SADC Heads of State and Government summit that Zimbabwe will host in August, yesterday endorsed the new Parliament building in Mount Hampden as the main venue of the event after they were impressed by the facilities.
