The profile of an HR executive

ONE of the key roles any organisati­on would need is that of a human resources (HR) executive.

IF you fill this role with the wrong person many negative things will happen in your organisati­on. To hire the best HR executive you need to understand what profile is required of such a person. I outline below the profile that is required of an HR Executive.

Understand­s the business and how creates value for its stakeholde­rs.

Capable of building sustainabl­e tionships with key stakeholde­rs.

Able to positively influence those not directly in their line of command.

Able to put together solid credible evidence to support their own decisions.

A good understand­ing of P& L, income statement, balance sheet and how HR can help grow these sustainabl­y.

Able to intervene with effective HR interventi­on at various stages of the business value chain.

Capable of building enough internal credibilit­y such that they become a "goto" sounding board for all things that matter to the business.

Capable of building a psychologi­cally safe organisati­on where people can raise issue, problems, concerns, including differing with authority without censure.

Capable of ble employee organisati­on.
