Fact file: Chakanyuka Nziradzemhuka

• An investment banking professional with sound investment management experience spanning various backgrounds: Stockbroking, Wealth Management, Medical Benefit Funds and Pension Fund Management within the Zimbabwean and Zambian landscape.

• Began his career with Mast Stockbrokers and moved to TN Asset Management before taking a role with the National Social Security Authority (Nssa) in 2012.

• He rose through the ranks to be the Chief Strategic Investments Officer of Nssa and former Non-Executive Director as well as Group Investments Committee Member of First Mutual Holdings (Private) Limited, institutions with over US$1,5 billion and US$250 million of assets under management respectively.

• He has been instrumental in engineering financial solutions and corporate actions that have positioned for success large corporate entities amongst them First Mutual Holdings, Nicoz Diamond Insurance Limited, Rainbow Tourism Group, starafricacorporation, Chengetedzai Depository Company, and FBC Holdings.

• Led a spirited campaign in establishing offshore investments as an asset class for Nssa and ushering the first offshore investment for the Authority with Afreximbank for US$20million that has created a solid base for hedging and diversifying portfolio value and earnings, respectively.

• Joined Zimre Holdings Limited in 2019 implementing a restructuring and regrouping of the investment company to regain its strategic parenting role to the vast business unit portfolio.

• Holds an MSc in Finance and Investments and Executive MBA from the National University of Science and Technology; and is a Member of the Institute of Financial Markets in South Africa.
