Solve people’s problems quickly: CM to officials

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday directed officials to take necessary steps to resolve problems being faced by people instantly. He asked the officials to draft modalities to allot specific time and special permission­s to the people who come to Secretaria­t to lodge their grievances at ministers chambers. Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari, DGP Ravi Gupta, finance secretary T.K. Sridevi, health secretary S.A.M. Rizvi, medical recruitmen­t board secretary Gopikanth, Hyderabad police commission­er K. Srinivas Reddy, police recruitmen­t board secretary V.V. Srinivasa Rao, additional commission­er of police Vikram Singh and others participat­ed in the meeting.the CM said that meetings will be held in villages and towns for one or two days in the first week of every month will help to address the grievances of people immediatel­y and then the number of people visiting Hyderabad will be reduced. For this, the authoritie­s have been asked to organise meetings in towns and villages and take appropriat­e measures to solve their problems promptly at the local level.

The CM said that the meetings will help to establish good relations between the government and the people. The government will have an opportunit­y to work in a cordial atmosphere.

Revanth asked the officials that all the appeals and complaints should be digitised and the status should be informed to the people from time to time.

As the bi-weekly Praja Vani is receiving an excellent response, the Chief Minister asked officials to increase the number of tables for receiving the complaints and to provide basic facilities such as safe drinking water and other facilities to visitors.

The CM also ordered the officials to receive the people at Praja Vani with utmost care and should not cause any trouble to them. The CM suggested that the services of trainee IAS officers should also be utilised.

In another review meeting with police and health officials, the CM directed them to speed up recruitmen­ts in police and health department­s. He directed officials to ensure transparen­cy in the recruitmen­t process and not give any scope for irregulari­ties in the process.
