Tanay comes up with fine figures

Hyderabad, Dec. 15:

Tanay Thyagarajan of President’s XI snared 11 wickets in the match to emerge top performer of the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s Senior Zonals matches played here on Friday.

Tanay returned with bowling figures of 6 for 82 in first innings to restrict Rest XI to 276 in 57 overs. After the follow on, chasing the 460-run target Rest XI managed to post 371 for 9 in 68 overs as the game ended in a draw. In the process Tanay added (5 for 109) to his first innings figures.

In another one-sided match, Secretary’s XI recorded a 10-wicket victory over Combined Districts.
