Highlights from major construction projects around Pittsburgh and surrounding areas this week
1. Saxonburg Road/Fawn, Harrison: Closed indefinitely between Route 908 and Freeport Road.
2. East Carson Street/Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictions in both directions at various locations between the Smithfield Street Bridge and 33rd Street through December.
3. Noblestown Road/Oakdale, Pittsburgh: Closed between Hill and Gregg Station roads until further notice.
4. Dooker’s Hollow Bridge/ North Braddock, East Pittsburgh: Closed until December for replacement.
5. Way Hollow Road/Edgeworth, Sewickley Heights: Closed indefinitely between Woodland and Backbone roads.
6. Route 136/Elizabeth: Longterm closure between Route 51 in Forward and Long Hollow Road.
7. Highland Park Bridge/ Sharpsburg, Aspinwall: Ramp from southbound Freeport Road to the bridge closed through late November.
8. Allegheny Circle/Pittsburgh: Two-Way Conversion Project will last through the end of the year. Construction mostly Monday through Friday during daylight hours. Also, a section of Ridge Avenue is closed until early December.
9. Fifth and Forbes corridor/ Pittsburgh: Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority working on the Forbes and Fifth Water Main Replacement Project. Work to continue until spring. Traffic disruptions throughout the area.
10. Little Sewickley Creek Road/Edgeworth, Leet: Closed through December for slide remediation between Sevin and Beaver roads.
11. Spring Run Road/Crescent: Closed in the 200 block to replace Spring Run Bridge No. 2. Work ends in November.
12. East and West Steuben Street/Crafton: Lane restrictions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through late November for gas line replacement between Noble Avenue and Walsh Road. Work may occur on weekends. 13. Second Avenue/Pittsburgh: Culvert work resulting in singlelane alternating traffic around the clock through Dec. 1. Work is between Blair and Irvine streets.
14. Sleepy Hollow Road/South Park: Crews replacing Sleepy Hollow Bridge No. 1. The project is expected to end in December.
15. Mount Troy Road Extension/Ross: A 300-foot section in the 4400 block of the road
closed through December for construction of a support wall. 16. Route 50/Bridgeville, South Fayette: Gas line relocation means single-lane restrictions near the bridge over Chartiers Creek, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays through November. 17. I-79/various locations: Daytime shoulder restrictions in Glenfield, Sewickley Hills, Franklin Park, Kilbuck, Aleppo, and Ohio Township, in both directions as needed between the Neville Island Bridge and I279. Weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through late December. Crews will perform lighting upgrades.
18. McKee Road/White Oak: Slide repair work means part of the road will close to through traffic around the clock between Route 48 and 22. Pittsburgh-McKeesport Boulevard/Dravosburg: Lane restrictions between Bettis Road and Sixth Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 30 for drilling operations.

27. Walz Street/Pittsburgh: Being converted to one way between Rhine and Homer
and installation of erosion controls streets. and pavement markings.
28. Jones Avenue/Wilkins and Turtle Creek: Work to replace Thompson Run East Branch
