Dallas takes another hit to its receivers before Thanksgiving
Amari Cooper will not play against the Raiders, his former team, this Thursday because he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday and as an unvaccinated player cannot return until Nov. 28, at the earliest.
In the second quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs, CeeDee Lamb sustained a concussion, meaning he would need to clear protocols quickly to be available.

Lamb has not missed a game in his two years with the Cowboys. Sunday marked the first game Cooper has missed since he joined the team in a 2018 trade from the Raiders.
Dallas coach Mike McCarthy did not have an update on Lamb’s status after the game, but quarterback Dak Prescott said he spoke to the receiver in the locker room.
“He’s going to be OK,” Prescott said. “I didn’t necessarily know what was going on, but that is the nature of this. You have to continue to move on and trust the guys we have. That is what I did.
He will be fine.”
Packers
Aaron Rodgers’ ailing toe was so problematic in Sunday’s last-second loss to Minnesota that the Green Bay quarterback actually left the field before the first half was over to head into the locker room. Rodgers would not get into any more details about his toe, which apparently became an issue during his COVID-19 quarantine earlier this month, saying only that it’s “a little worse than turf toe.”
Buccaneers
Receiver Antonio Brown, who was accused this week of obtaining a fake COVID-19 vaccination card, has been ruled out for Monday night against the Giants, coach Bruce Arians said.
Brown has not played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 6 against Philadelphia.
Bears
Rookie quarterback Justin Fields was ruled out in the second half of Sunday’s 16-13 loss to Baltimore with an injury to his ribs.
Fields walked back to the locker room early in the third quarter after first being examined in the blue medical tent.
Colts
Running back Jonathan Taylor matched an NFL record by scoring a touchdown and gaining at least 100 yards from scrimmage in an eighth consecutive game.
The only other NFL players to do that are former Colts running back Lydell Mitchell in 1975-76 and Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006.
