Andorra stands against the situation of women in Afghanistan
Tor participated in the MSC where defense, global order, human security, sustainability and technology were discussed
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Imma Tor, participated last Sunday in an event on the role of women and girls in Afghanistan to which Andorra adhered to the final statement urging the Afghan authorities to put an end to systematic gender persecution, which could constitute a crime against humanity. The event was promoted by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Germany and Canada as part of the network to promote feminist foreign policy.
On the other hand, Tor attended the Munich Security Conference (MSC) which was held in the German city of Munich between February 16th and 18th this year.
The meeting brought together more than 500 decision-makers at the highest level, as well as political leaders from around the world, including heads of state, ministers and prominent personalities from international organizations and important actors in the economic field, as well as representatives of civil society and the academic world. It is a good scenario to maintain contacts as well as to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations. The annual independent forum is the platform for debate on international relations, crises, conflicts and foreign policy.

The minister explained where the process for reaching the Association Agreement is currently at
conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East were addressed, as well as global challenges such as climate change, energy security and artificial intelligence.
In this context, the minister highlighted the importance of multilateralism as a tool to find solutions cooperatively to achieve the social and economic resilience of states.
During her stay in Munich, Tor held several bilateral meetings, among others, with counterparts from Bulgaria, Malta, Norway, the Holy See and Germany.
In the meetings, the minister explained first-hand at what point the process for reaching an Association Agreement between Andorra and the European Union (EU) is currently.
Likewise, Minister Tor had the opportunity to meet and congratulate the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, Stéphane Séjourné, and to greet the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, José Manuel Albares.
