New scam attempt on social networks, this time with the head of government, Xavier Espot, as its indirect protagonist. Through the use of artificial intelligence, the image of the aforementioned has been used in a video in which, through his image and modified voice, he offered residents the opportunity to become part of an investment program that allows you to increase an initial fee of 250 euros up to 30,000 in just three days.
The video also includes a link for more information, which, once you click, redirects you to a web page called Immediate Edge. Under the phrase «Is it impossible to turn 250€ into 30,000€ in 3 days? With Immediate Edge, ¡you can do even more!”, the website is presented as Elon Musk’s best innovative investment platform in 2023, according to the Forex Awards. In addition, they also urge users to register as soon as possible: «Hurry up and register for free now and have the opportunity to get rid of your debts and financial difficulties! Your perso
nal manager is waiting for you.»
The video has circulated quickly on social media, with almost 3,000 views on Monday. The facts are already known to the Police, who are analyzing the case carefully to find out what the origin of the video was.
However, Espot wanted to speak out through his Instagram, in which he asked all his followers to report the publication: «It’s a fraud, so if it appears to you, you want to report the account, please.».
