WHAT ABOUT THE PMO?
There are a lot of protests about the high cost of medical insurance (“prepagas”). The Government should take a closer look at the PMO (Prestación Medica Obligatoria). All prepagas must comply by law with the PMO. It is as if by law requiring each owner of a car to buy a full insurance (“seguro contra todo riesgo”).

SHAKESPEARE’S FEMALE CHARACTERS
Disfrutemos (“Let’s enjoy it”), the news outlet from the Buenos Aires City government, announced an interesting two-day Festival about William Shakespeare to rediscover his legacy.
One of the events on the schedule of activities was ‘Las Mujeres de Shakespeare’ (“Shakespeare’s female characters”), which was held on Saturday, April 13, at Centro Cultural San Martín.
The proposal seemed to be extremely appealing and I cannot help but ask myself what it is that I know about the female characters created and portrayed by the Swan of Avon. I could say several things but I would like to stress the fact that, in a world ruled by despotic men whose authority couldn’t be questioned, Shakespeare bestowed on women the capacity to be cunning in order to show that men can be easily outsmarted by the fairer sex.
In the Merry Wives of Windsor, Sir
John Falstaff conspires to seduce two respectable married women who, instead of responding with outrage, resort to shrewdness to teach him a lesson. Falstaff ends up having to hide himself in a basket of dirty laundry as a fair punishment which – during an age when cleanliness was not a virtue – having to conceal his corpulent body with filthy and smelly garments was a most deserved retribution.

FLEETING LOVE STORY
The presidential love affair is over. Javier Milei and Fátima Flórez have broken up. End of a “soap opera” that (truth be told) lacked credibility from the very start, in spite of the passionate kisses onstage we all saw (and suffered).
There are all sorts of explanations for this split: Fátima’s job offers all over the world; Milei’s urgent and problematic presidential demands; different lifestyles and schedules.
Milei is said to have a friendly chat with his dogs every morning. I wonder if they have advised him to end this relationship. Or was it his sister, Karina (a.k.a. ‘The Boss), who lives with him at the Olivos presidential residence?
Will Fátima go back to her life partner’s (Norberto Marcos) arms? Will there be a sequel? To be continued…
