19 Vary length

A healthy amount of length variation is necessary to keep fur from looking synthetic. I usually set the minimum length to about one tenth of the groomed length to start. The longer hairs should automatically have more visible variation. For the monster you may find it necessary to make an extra, even longer coat of fur to add even more levels of variation in the arms and back.
