17 ADD EMISSIVES

Emissives can help to break up empty spaces, place focus on specific areas, or simply add colour to your design. In this case I used them to add some extra light to dark places, like the underbelly of the robot or even underneath one of the layers of the armour. Rendering out lights for high-poly models can be expensive and time consuming, so you can always just add them into Photoshop, using Outer Glow and some Inner Glow in combination with Bevel and Emboss.
