27 SET UP YOUR HDR

Let’s make our own HDR maps (note that you need a Keyshot Pro account for this). Aim for a lot of contrast, so an extreme dark background with some really bright lights. Finish it off with an accent colour using the colour wheel. Another nice touch is adding a ground colour to the map – you get some nice bounce light from below, and it feels like a living environment around your model.
