Sisters Matilda and Polly Douglas have embraced the festive spirit by creating a Christmas display with hay bales at Beazleys Bridge on St Arnaud-Ararat Road. Matilda said this was the first year the pair had decorated bales for Christmas. “They have been a real hit, with passers-by and locals frequently stopping to take photos,” she said. “The festive spirit can get a bit lost in the chaos of harvest so it has been fun to create something that keeps the Christmas cheer going for everyone who drives past.”
