Apple II gets its own port of Portal

There are few games as worthy of preservation as Valve’s 2007 classic Portal, in which you solve physics and logic puzzles in order to escape a science lab run by a rather mean AI. However, when you think of porting a game to another platform, the Apple II computer is probably not the first one that comes to mind. Vince Weaver, assistant professor of computer engineering at the University of Maine, was inspired by the game’s ASCII-art credit sequence and set about recreating the credits, then “one thing led to another”.
