Corsair Vengeance LED (White) DDR4-2666 C16
Lacking mojo.
The Corsair Vengeance LED (White) sports the same quality design and manufacturing as its blue-lit brethren but fronting with white-light LED across the top centre bar. Beside this physical trait and the spec labelling, there’s nothing to separate the units by physical visual description. It’s the specs that separate the stablemates. And indeed the resulting performance separates this white-light kit from the competition. Unfortunately, this separation isn’t for the right reasons. Sadly, the performance delivered is representative of the rear of the pack when run through the APC labs test suite.
On the plus side, if you’re game to throw your warranty aside and run out of spec (though, realistically, there’s no objective way for Corsair to know whether you do this), cranking the operating voltage up from 1.20v to 1.35v will likely see the kit run higher frequency and equal or tighter latency. Or just pay the extra few dollars.
