-

Piriform, the company behind the system cleaning utility CCleaner, has informed its customers that malware was found in an installation file for their program (version 5.33.6162). This particular installation was downloaded over 2 billion times and may have affected as many users, and while the company suggests it’s likely an outside attacker, they didn’t rule out the possibility of an inside job. If you use the program, visit www.piriform.com/ccleaner/ download/standard to get a clean install of version 5.34. HD
