Logitech K600

Great for both PC and TV.

-

In case the name hasn’t given it away, Logitech’s latest multimedia keyboard is specifically designed to also work with SmartTVs, so you don’t even need a HTPC. There’s a huge list of compatible TVs on the official site (www.logitech. com/en-us/promo/k600-tv/ smart-tv-compatibilitychecker.html) , but basically all of the models from the bigger companies that are less than two years old will work with this keyboard.

There’s a heap of macro keys on the left of the keyboard for common TV and PC features, as well as full volume controls. But what we love most are the two disks on the right hand side. The larger of the two acts as a touch pad, and it’s super accurate. It includes gesture controls, so you can slide through web pages and the like. The smaller circle is used like the arrow keys on a keyboard, allowing you to select different windows and items on screen.

Being totally wireless, once again we see that this is not backlit, which is a shame, but would chew through battery life so we absolutely understand and respect this design decision and the benefits of being wireless far outweigh having glowing keys. It requires twin AAA batteries, and Logitech claims an incredible 12-month battery life span, which is simple recordbreaking.

Best of all though is the price. At just $100 it’s our favourite new way to control the TV in the living room. Be aware that it’s no good for gaming, but when it comes to SmartTV viewing, this thing has every base covered.
