WHEN TWO BECOME ONE

I have just received my monthly magazine and discovered it has changed to APC, although the magazine seems to be good the APC website is very sparse compared to the PC & Tech Authority website. Will the PC & Tech Authority website be incorporated into the APC website as it provides a lot of great information for readers to use.

Also, many years ago before I subscribed to PC & Tech Authority I looked at APC and decided that PC & Tech Authority suited my needs, I hope that aspects of PC & Tech Authority are incorporated into the APC magazine in the near future. Barrie Fuss Ben Mansill replies: We certainly will be incorporating some of the unique parts of PCTA here, like System News and Market Watch for now, and quite a few of our favourite writers are onboard with APC as well. Future Publishing (APC’s publisher) is focussed on

techradar.com for online PC and technology content, as well as pcgamer.com for gaming and tomshardware.com and anandtech. com for deep PC coverage.

UPGRADING

I have decided to go ahead with a new subscription based on the absolutely fantastic quality this magazine brings along. All the subjects were covered that needed covering. From reinstalling Windows to the new Apple Mac Pro’s edition review. I am currently using the top of the line MacBook Pro, and for the cost of a small car it was worth it!

Every time there is something new, and six cores is better than four and 32GB DDR4 is better than 16 GB DDR3 – APC just got better too joining in with PC & Tech Authority! Mark

WITH THANKS

Thank you Dan for your stewardship of APC. I have enjoyed the changes you have introduced; broadening the platforms and technologies that APC shows interest in, changing layouts and so on. For the price of a coffee and muffin each month you have produced a fine magazine. My surprise and joy is that APC has lasted this long in paper form and yet there is no substitute for dragging out a magazine in a plane, waiting for a bus or just enjoying a break. Thanks and all the best for you next adventure. Dan Gardiner replies: Thanks for the kind (and humbling) words Paul – as I mentioned in my last editorial, it’s been a genuine pleasure and privilege to oversee APC for the last 70 or so issues.

We’ve still got some big plans for the mag going ahead, too – and I’ll be hovering around in the background for a while, so don’t be surprised if you see my byline cropping up every now and again. Thanks again for your support — and please feel free to reach out to the new editor Ben Mansill in future if you’ve got anything to say about the mag. We always love to get feedback – good or bad – from our readers.
