Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti OC

The Rolls Royce of 2080 TI cards.

-

The Asus ROG Strix 2080 Ti shares many of the characteristics and features of its cheaper 2080 sibling, though of course it comes equipped with the more powerful Turing TU102 GPU. It comes with a 1350MHz base clock and 1650MHz boost clock. In OC mode, the boost clock gets a minor bump to 1665MHz.

The Strix cooler is the same as the one employed by the 2080 version and it’s easily capable of handling the increased demands of the Ti GPU. Again it delivered the coolest temperatures among the 2080 Ti cards.

The Strix 2080 Ti design is otherwise identical to its non Ti sibling with its unique set of twin HDMI 2.0b ports along with the pair of DP 1.4 ports and a Type-C USB port. You’ll also get attractive RGB lighting capabilities and dual BIOS, with silent and performance modes to choose from.

The Asus Strix 2080 Ti was again at the head of the pack with its strong performance. The couple of degrees it saves with its capable cooler are enough to help it maintain maximum boost clocks for longer.

The Asus Strix is again the best of the 2080 Ti cards we tested. It combines an excellent feature set with a terrific cooler that extracts the maximum from the beastly TU102 GPU. You have to pay to play though. $2,249 at the time of writing is a serious amount of money to drop on a GPU. It’s difficult to justify that kind of premium over competing cards.
