Dell Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise 2-in-1

An enterprising Chromebook that’s worth considering for a workforce.

-

If you think all Chromebooks are budget PC alternatives then the Latitude7410 Chromebook Enterprise 2 in 1 will come as a bit of a shock. This business-focused laptop has the same Intel Core i5-10310U CPU and 16GB RAM as you’ll see in today’s premium ultrabooks and the device can be upgraded further to include a 10th Gen Core i7 chip. Up front, most configurations offer a FullHD 14in 300nit display, but it does range to a 400nit 4K screen. Whether it’s the sleek metal chassis, the skinny edge bezels, the polished convertible hinges or the pinhole HD webcam everything else is pretty much what you’d expect from a flagship ultrabook.

The Latitude 7410 is also perhaps one of the more easily connected devices offering a HDMI out, Dual USB Type-C connections, a microSD card reader, two USB Type-A sockets, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a lock attachment. The keyboard is nice and the trackpad is smooth and responsive.

Unsurprisingly this device had some of the best benchmark scores. Battery life isn’t bad either, lasting three hours and eight minutes in GFX Bench and nine hours and 36 minutes in 1080p movie playback.

So the only thing really holding this device back is the price. In the US an extra $90 will give you Google’s Chrome Enterprise management upgrade, which makes it easier to deploy imaged systems with enhanced business security that can be remotely updated. So it might save your company money in the long run.

A pricier Chromebook that makes some sense for small businesses looking to roll out lots of laptops

“Unsurprisingly this device had some of the best benchmark scores across the board, so it’ll be more than powerful enough to run the most demanding Chrome OS software.”
