Dun­can Blake trans­ferred from the per­ma­nent Air Force to the Re­serves in Jan­uary 2017, af­ter 22 years as a Le­gal Of­fi­cer in the Royal Aus­tralian Air Force. He has con­trib­uted ex­ten­sively to doc­trine and pol­icy for the Aus­tralian Depart­ment of De­fence and whole-of-gov­ern­ment, on is­sues of op­er­a­tions law and space law, and has chaired in­ter-de­part­men­tal and in­ter­na­tional work­ing groups on space law. In ad­di­tion to con­tin­u­ing to con­trib­ute to De­fence through his Re­serve work (in­clud­ing on space law is­sues), Dun­can is a PHD stu­dent, con­sul­tant and Man­ag­ing Edi­tor of an in­ter­na­tional pro­ject that brings to­gether a group of in­ter­na­tional ex­perts to clar­ify the ap­pli­ca­tion of law to outer space even in pe­ri­ods of ten­sion and armed con­flict (the ‘Woomera Man­ual' - https://law.ade­laide.edu.au/ woomera/). http://www.ialpg.com/#con­sul­tants Twit­ter: @dunc4n­bl4ke
