Rugs by Faye Toogood
Celebrated British designer Faye Toogood has turned her trademark aesthetic to a new series of rugs for Italian rug company Cc-tapis. Entitled Doodles, the six designs in the collection are drawn from original textile artworks by Toogood and capture the abstract style and playfulness inherent in the designer’s work. Record Cabinet by Ross Thompson
Geelong-based woodworker and furniture maker Ross Thompson’s work fuses the traditional craft of furniture making – its careful, intricate joins and processes – with the intent of a designer, who produces work with strong creative intent. His elegant pieces include the Record Cabinet, a piece that touches on nostalgia, with the interactive process of the tambour doors reflecting the process of spinning vinyl. The w182 Pastille is a new series of LED lights released by Swedish lighting brand Wästberg and designed by Sam Hecht and Kim Colin. The design features a slimline frame and a disc of light that can be rotated according to use. The refined profile and its ability to function as a table, freestanding, wall-mounted or pendant light make the series an elegant solution for domestic and commercial environments. Airblade 9kj hand dryer from Dyson
Dyson claims that its Airblade 9kj is the fastest, most energy-efficient Hepa-filtered hand dryer on the market. Two curved apertures follow the shape of hands for a faster dry time: in “max” mode, the Airblade dries hands efficiently in ten seconds. Airflow paths have been redesigned and silencers used to reduce noise, while touch-free operation and the HEPA filter, which captures particles from the air, ensure a hygienic experience. Sydney-based furniture manufacturer Reddie has unveiled the Non-corporate Workstation (NCW), a simple and customizable alternative to other workstations that, the designers believed, are generic, dull and overly complicated. The NCW features a slimline design and simple cable management, and can be specified with wooden or laminate tops with solid wood edging, and rattan or perforated metal dividers. It is available in three sizes and can be customized by colour.

Jeanette series from SP01
Australian furniture brand SP01 has revealed its new collection of outdoor furniture, designed by Sydney-based industrial designer Tom Fereday. The new range includes four new pieces in the Jeanette series – a lounge chair, a sofa, a bar stool and a coffee table – that complement Fereday’s original Jeanette chair.
