GEAR CHECK: RST ADVENTURE-X GLOVES

It’s amazing just how huge the variety is when it comes to riding gear, and gloves are certainly no different. It goes without saying there are gloves for every type of riding, and these Adventure-X gloves from RST are proving to be a very capable glove for the adventure riding I do.

I prefer a lighter, softer-feeling glove and the Adventure-Xs deliver on that count, being made from soft-touch leather with Amara in key impact areas, and featuring a double-layer reinforcement in the palm for extra durability. And with TPU knuckle protectors, the gloves are level 1 CE certified.

With pre-curved fingers and a generous Velcro-fastening cuff closure, these XXL size Adventure-Xs fit me like a glove (boom-tish!) and are quick and easy to get on and off thanks to the sizeable grab tabs on the cuffs. They’re comfortable for all-day rides and while not as cool to wear as a more dirt-oriented glove, they’re cooler to wear than heavier and bulkier road-oriented gloves. So for me they strike a happy medium.

The cuff is a practical length as well: not as short as moto gloves, but not as big and bulky as some others, meaning the cuffs will easily tuck inside the sleeves of your jacket.
