Type: Enthusiast/profession­al mirrorless digital camera with L bayonet lens mount.

Focusing: Automatic 225-point wide-area system using contrast-detection via imaging sensor. Manual and automatic switching between one-shot and continuous AF modes, the latter with auto tracking. Automatic subject detection for Face, Eye, Body And Animal. Area modes for Spot, Zone (nine points), Multi-Field, Field, Tracking and Face/Body Detection. Leica Object Detection AF has additional profiles for Children/Pets, Team Sports, Runner and Wildlife. Touchpad AF point/zone selection available via touch screen monitor. Focus assist via magnified image (three settings) and focus peaking displays (Red, Green, Blue and White; and two levels of intensity). Sensitivit­y range is EV -6.0 - 18 (ISO 100, f1.4). Low light/contrast assist provided by built-in LED illuminato­r.

Metering: Multi-zone, centre-weighted average, spot and TTL flash. Metering range is EV 0 to 18 (ISO 100/f1.4).

Exposure Modes: Continuous­ly-variable program with shift, shutter-priority auto, aperturepr­iority auto and metered manual.

Shutter: Electronic focal plane, vertical travel, metal blades. 1800-1/8000 second plus ‘B’

(up to 30 minutes). Sensor-based shutter has speed range of 1-1/4000 second. Flash sync up to 1/250 second. Exposure compensati­on of up to +/-6.0 EV in ½ or 1/3 stop increments. Viewfinder: OLED with 5.76 megadots resolution. 0.78x magnificat­ion and 100% vertical/ horizontal scene coverage. Switchable 60/120 fps refresh rate. Adjustable for brightness and colour balance. Automatic/manual switching between the EVF and the LED monitor screen.

Flash: No built-in flash. External flash units sync via hotshoe.

Additional Features: Milled aluminium twopiece body over a magnesium alloy chassis and sealed against dust and moisture (IP54 standard) and insulated for sub-zero temperatur­es, monochrome camera read-out display, auto exposure bracketing (up to +/-3.0 EV per frame over three, five or seven frames), AE lock, dual-mode self-timer (two or 12 second delays), audible signals, auto power off with adjustable timing. Accepts Leica T/TL mount lenses for capture in the ‘APS-C’ format. Accepts Leica M, S and R mount lenses via adaptors.

Focal Length Increase: None. Formats/Resolution: 8-bit JPEG compressio­n on three resolution settings; 8368x5584, 6000x4000 and 4272x2848 pixels. RAW files captured at 8368x5584 pixels in the Adobe DNG format. RAW+JPEG capture. 24-bit RGB colour for JPEGs, 42-bit RGB colour for RAW files. Choice of six aspect ratios – 3:2, 7:5, 4:3, 1:1, 3:1 and16:9.

Continuous Shooting: Up to 100 JPEG/large frames at 10.0 fps or 78 RAW. Medium speed mode operates at up 6.0 fps. Low speed mode operates at 3.0 fps. Up to 20 fps continuous shooting with the sensor-based shutter.

White Balance: Auto control with eight presets, ‘Greycard’ and ‘Greycard Live View’ custom measuremen­ts, and manual colour temperatur­e setting (2000 to 11,500 degrees Kelvin).
