AIR RAID

I’ve been enjoying the latest edition of Australian Geographic (AG 136). We have been subscribers since the magazine began. It’s always a fascinating read. I was interested to see the Mar/Apr issue will feature an article about Victoria’s volcanic region.

I was at Mt Eccles in November last year, and inadvertently walked into the nesting zone of these peregrine falcons while walking along the crater edge track.The birds were very unhappy about my presence and told me so by swooping and screeching. I was able to take a few pictures (including this, below) as I beat a hasty retreat.
