A medium-sized electric ray found widely around Australiaustralia south of the Top End. . A reddishor dark-brown colour,our, the large disc and short tail of this species e easily distinguishes it. It is a bo bottom feeder found in the soft subs substrate of coastal bays and beach beaches. The ray uses electric shocks to stun fish, and has been kno known to ingest prey of a similar size to itself.
