DISCOVER THE REAL outback Queensland at Julia Creek, and get set for a weekend of mud, sweat and fun.The Dirt n Dust Festival began in 1994 with the idea of completing a triathlon in one of Australia’s harshest climates.The event has grown exceptionally, and has a number of other unusual activities for all ages, such as Cow Pat throwing and Bog Snorkelling – this unique event requires competitors to navigate a bog trench without the use of conventional swimming strokes, instead relying on a pair of flippers.
