Ship: Antarctic Construction: basalt slab walls; makeshift roof of timber and sails salvaged from Antarctic; sealskins. Dimensions: 10 x 7m Use: 1903: emergency winter shelter for 20 men; no subsequent use. Current status: Antarctic HSM 41; standing ruin, unroofed; maintained by Instituto Antártico Argentino.
Visiting: ship-based tourist visits allowed with a permit; no more than 100 people on shore at any time.
