King George Falls

-

Approximately 13km before it pours into the Timor Sea, the 115km

King George River tumbles over the Kimberley’s sandstone plateau to form the 60m-high King George Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in WA. Located 250km north-west of Kununurra, the twin falls were featured in the 2008 Baz Luhrmann film Australia. You can visit this remote spot by Zodiac, feeling the mist from the falls as you pull up close. Although often only a fine veil of water towards the end of the Dry, the falls roar with bountiful wet season rains from late December.
