The original Klon Centaur, built between 1990 and 1994, appeared early in the modern boutique pedal boom. The massive list of profile players includes Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Joe Perry, Warren Haynes, Kirk Hammett, Nels Cline, Dave Grissom, Mark Tremonti and Andy Summers. The Klon is famous for its clear, uncoloured tone of a boosted signal. Innovative and unique characteristics of the new KTR include the use of a IC MAX1044 voltage converter and two germanium diodes, which generate internal signal clipping. The result is a uniquely responsive and versatile pedal that can boost your signal with incredible clarity, or push your amp into a harmonically rich and responsive overdrive.
