B&W ZEPPELIN WIRELESS WHITE
Last year British audio brand Bowers and Wilkins controversially launched its Zeppelin wireless speaker system in black only. This year, the company has seen the error of its ways and the Zeppelin Wireless is now also available in white.
Both colour models sport five drive units including the same double-domed tweeters found in the company’s award- winning CM Series of hi-fi speakers and with the two-midrange drivers using the same FST technology found on B&W’s high-end designs including the flagship 800 Series Diamond. Both also have the larger 165mm bass driver, with a longer voice-coil, that was introduced with the release of the black model, along with the 50 per cent thicker front fascia that was also introduced at that time. On the electronics side, B&W says the DSP circuitry and wireless connectivity (AirPlay, Bluetooth/aptX and Spotify) enhance the user experience. ‘ As capable as it is beautiful, the Zeppelin Wireless is a single- box solution that defies expectations,’ says Geoff Matthews, of Convoy International, which distributes B&W in Australia. ‘It can create roomfilling sound from the bookshelf or act as the centrepiece of a room while also creating room-filling sound… in fact no matter where you place it, the Zeppelin wireless’s incredible sound quality will create an acoustic atmosphere that belies its size.’ Available now, the Zeppelin Wireless White (and Black) retails for $999.95.
