MARANTZ SPECIAL EDITION 14 SERIES

Marantz has released ‘Special Edition’ versions of its PM-14 integrated amplifier and SA-14 Super Audio CD player. The PM-14S1 Special Edition integrated amplifier ($5,450 RRP) uses the same capacitor reservoir as the original KI Pearl as well as an oversized toroidal transformer, and a constant current feedback phono equaliser for the phono inputs. Rated with a power output of 90-watts per channel into 8 and 140-watts per channel into 4 , the PM-14S1 SE uses Marantz’s proprietary HDAM SA3 circuits.

The SA-14S1 Special Edition Super Audio CD player ($4,520 RRP) uses Marantz’ own disc mechanism to play both CDs and SACDs and the internal DAC can be accessed externally, via optical and coaxial digital inputs as well by USB-B, so you can stream high-res audio files direct to it from your computer.
