The all-new Alexx is the latest in Wilson Audio’s legendary line of floorstanding loudspeakers, drawing from recent designs such as the Alexia and the Sabrina, as well as the ‘WAMM’ — Dave Wilson’s up and coming

magnumopus — with which it was developed concurrently.

It incorporates Wilson’s latest thinking on loudspeaker design in the areas of time-domain geometry and driver configuration, with Wilson’s engineering team reimagining the classic MTM (midrange-tweetermidrange) geometry in a modular approach that optimises the enclosure properties for each driver.

Driver development for the Alexx includes the latest version of the Convergent Synergy Tweeter, and all-new woofer design using 10½-inch and 12½-inch woofers developed alongside the WAMM project, installed in the Alexx’s ultra-low resonance woofer enclosure, which now features an angled baffle for even better time-domain integration. The Alexx benefits throughout from Wilson’s ongoing analysis of low-resonance cabinet strategies via laser micrometer.

The Wilson Audio Alexx pushes the proverbial envelope in the areas of coherence, dynamic contrast and musicality for its category, while its aesthetic is at once a testament to its prodigious technology, and the desire to integrate easily into a wide variety of high-end residences.
