Sonic Purity now has the KiiTHREE active speakers available for private audition sessions at its new showroom at 30 Bignell Road, Moorabbin, Victoria, 3189. The KiiTHREE active speakers each have six drivers, arranged on the front, sides and rear in an arrangement that is said to ‘throw’ the sound in one direction only, without relying on a baffle via a system Kii Acoustics calls ‘Active Wave Focusing’. ‘ The wave focusing filter marks a complete departure from the classical crossover filter,’ says Kii. ‘ Instead of just splitting the spectrum into bands, it forces the specially positioned drive units to create a completely coherent wave front that is only emitted forward and behaves as though all of it came from the midrange driver.
