In Greek mythology Phaethon means the ‘Shining One’ – and this audio gem lives up to its name.

Incorporating much of the technology of the Ypsilon Aelius monoblock amplifier and PST100mk2 preamplifier, the Phaethon integrated amplifier is a true audiophile design. The input and driver stages use low-noise valves in single-ended class A fashion, coupled to an output stage using semiconductors for both phases in a balanced single-ended architecture – the flavour of a pure single-ended amplifier with the power of push-pull designs. Separate power supplies for the tube and output stages utilise five power supply inductors for low-noise filtering.

All the Phaethon’s elements operate in unison to deliver unmatched sound quality within the platform of this superb integrated amplifier.
