REGA IN RED

Rega’s famous Planar 2 and Planar 3 turntables are now available in a high-gloss red colour, as well as in gloss black and gloss white. ‘ This new colour release will maintain Rega’s spot firmly on top of shopping lists all over Australia,’ said Philip Sawyer, of Synergy Audio Visual, which distributes Rega in Australia. ‘ This red colour option comes a year after the release of the Planar 2 and Planar 3 models, but it was always planned to be included as standard for these models, however due to incredible popularity and very high demand since release, Rega has focused on meeting that demand.’ As with all Rega products, production of the red versions is at Rega’s own factory in Southend on Sea, Essex, England.

Available in Australia now, the Rega Planar 2 in red retails for $849 (fitted with a Rega Carbon cartridge). The Rega Planar 3 in red retails for $1,249 (RRP) without a cartridge, but is also available pre-fitted with Rega’s fully in-house designed and manufactured Elys2 cartridge for $1,449.
