New Uniti range

The Qute is not the only piece from the Uniti range to be upgraded; in fact the entire range has changed. Along with the Atom, Naim are also releasing:

UNITI CORE: This is a replacement for the Uniti Serve. It allows you to rip CDs to an external NAS drive, or with the additional of an internal hard-drive you can store up to 100,000 tracks internally. This is an excellent companion to the Uniti Atom opposite.

UNITI STAR: An all-in-one package including a CD drive which can be used either as a CD player or to rip discs to its internal storage. Its amplification is rated at 70 watts/channel.

UNITI NOVA: This is the top of the new Uniti range. An 80 watt/channel amplifier and streamer in one.

All three of Naim’s amplifier-based new Uniti models include Google Cast for Audio, Apple AirPlay, Tidal, Spotify Connect, aptX HD Bluetooth, vTuner internet radio and UPnP (universal plug and play) hi-res streaming.

This has been a very important and also a carefully considered release from Naim. They have had a team of 25 engineers working on the project for three years, and have invested around A$6m on the project. While we have been waiting for this release, their decision to hold back the date for six months until they were confident that they had it right is an indication of their commitment.
