Every living room needs a focal point, too, be it a fireplace, a view to the landscape beyond or a spectacular pendant light. “Comfort and liveability are vital to a living room,” says Melbourne interior designer Adelaide Bragg. “I focus on creating a balanced layout of a sofa parallel to a fireplace, with chairs or armchairs arranged in a square formation. And I like to display clients’ much-loved pieces, because personality is important.”
