Field spaniels live about 12 years. They have a longish coat that needs regular brushing to remove tangles. Unlike cocker and springer spaniels, though, they have a single-layer coat that makes for easier grooming. Pups cost $1800 and up but may be hard to find due to the newness of the breed in Australia; you may have to put your name on a waiting list.
