Like moths to a flame, the crowds at the recent Milan Furniture Fair were lured by light and colour. The lighting showcase Euroluce, which runs in parallel with the fair, did not disappoint. Meanwhile, in-vogue hues were easy to spot, and the leading trend was schemes composed from a single colour group... beautiful tonal palettes on stands, in showrooms and across furniture ranges. With rich materials such as marble, onyx and metallics, design references ranging from Art Deco to the ’90s, and exciting new ideas, it was a fair to remember.
