When it came to renovating this 1960s house, there was never any doubt that the yellow shag-pile and Mission Brown cabinetry would make way for a new palette. “Some of the homes around here are very ‘greige’ and we wanted to avoid that,” says owner Nicole Neal. “Besides, I’ve always liked blue.” The base palette of teal, oak and white is accented with copper, grey and black – a warm twist on a traditiona­l Scandi look.
